Took a trip to Danville, Kentucky to visit my great-great-great grandfather’s grave. He volunteered for the Union in August 1862 and was dead by December 19th, 1862. Family lore says he died of tyhpoid fever. He may have fought in the Battle of Perryville, the bloodiest battle in Kentucky. He left behind his young wife, Mariah, and infant twins, Henry and Lizzie. He was 27 when he died.
